What the Stylists Wear: Lillian Gordon
We sat down with personal stylist Lillian Gordon and asked her the big questions in life, mainly, what would you wear to some of Geelong's hottest events and nights out?
I am a big believer in wearing what you feel amazing in - this is often different for everyone and what makes dressing so exciting!
That being said this is what I would wear at...
At an engagement party?
An engagement party is a celebration and therefore colour and pattern is very fitting. I would wear a floral dress and heels for the occasion. This would be appropriate whether the parting was during the day. If the party was in the evening I might opt for something a little more sparkly!
At a cocktail bar?
I think this is where I would be pulling out my LBD (little black dress) maybe in a simple slip style with a little bit of lace and paired with some simple drop earrings.
At a launch event?
It all depends on what the launch is. Again you can't go wrong with a little black dress. But if it were me I would be wearing a pair of black skinny jeans dressed up with my favourite statement heal and an off the shoulder blouse. To finish off the look I would drape a relaxed blazer over my shoulders.
At an 18th/21st?
The obvious option would be to reach for my favourite dress and heels, however, I think a pair of wide-leg trousers and a silk or velvet cami would be a beautiful alternative.
At a date?
On a date I am always trying to show off my personality. More than ever I pay close attention to what I feel amazing in. For me, I like to be seen as down to earth and why I will always dress up a pair of well fitting black jeans. To add an element of sexyness to the look I would wear a black lace cami. A pair of black heeled boots and a statement necklace. If all else fails you can never go wrong with a red dress!
