Forgot it was Father's Day this Sunday? Or maybe you just forgot to organise something? We're big believers in heading out (if that isn't clear) so here are a few places even your dad will love.

With a recent refurbishment, The Valley Inn is a little bit classier than what it used to be, but still has the charm of being 'your local'.
Where: 120 Fyans Street, Geelong
With a menu as delicious as the venue is full of personality, this joint is a little bit out of town so a great destination to take dad. Not to mention there's a beer garden, TVs and fireplaces.
Where: 158 McKillop Street, Geelong
If the weather's fine this is certainly a top option with one of the few rooftop bars in town. There's plenty of parmis, burgers and all the classics!
Where: 77 High St, Belmont

Bringing the charm from the old style pub, the Sawyers Arms Tavern has been around for a while - kind of like ya' dad! The menu isn't too bad either.
Where: 2 Noble Street, Newtown

With one of the biggest beer gardens in town, it's more than enough to put a smile on your dad's face. There's also several rooms to choose from inside starting with casual dining to rooms a bit fancier.
Where: Cnr of Malop and Bellerine Street, Geelong
Another venue with a bit of a refresh, the Cremorne Hotel is half fancy, half super comfy. There are a few options when it comes to dining out, and plenty of menu items you definitely won't regret.
Where: 336 Pakington Street, Newtown
One of the few pubs in Geelong that really retains that pub feel, Irish Murphy's is as cozy and welcoming as it comes - and the food certainly echos this sentiment. Not to mention there's Guinness on tap.
Where: 30 Aberdeen St, Geelong
With a much fancier feel than it used to, there's still a sports bar for dad to escape to, though chances are he won't want to with the declicious feast on offer!
Where: 236 - 258 Surf Coast Highway, Grovedale
