Here are Geelong's best beer gardens according to you
A little while ago we did a vote on our Facebook page to see where you thought the best beer garden in Geelong is. From the hundreds of votes, the breakout winner was the Belmont Hotel - which is no surprise with its extensive rooftop beer garden.

1. The Belmont Hotel
With one of Geelong's largest rooftop beer gardens, the Belmont Hotel becomes the perfect venue come summer. As for the food to accompany your rooftop beverage, you'll find plenty of pub classics, including the famed parmi specials night.

2. Lord Nelson
Boasting Geelong's largest beer garden in the CBD and with a recent renovation, its central location and proximity to the waterfront makes it a great late-afternoon and night-time destination. Dine inside for a regal feel and head outside for some follow-up drinks - and where the fun really begins.

3. Centra
If you've experienced Centra's beer garden, chances are you'll remember those perfect Sunday rose sessions. Previously the Carrington Hotel, the last addition to the significantly renovated venue was the much-loved beer garden. The space is perfect for celebrations and a little bit of a fancier night out.

4. The Elephant & Castle
Iconic for many reasons, the Elephant & Castle is a popular destination both for its clever and eccentric decorations and its large outdoor beer garden. Overlooking the park, it's a great space to chill out and have a few bevs. It's also a great space for events, which the venue often puts on in the beer garden.

5. DRAW
The National Hotel
While the iconic music venue that was the Nash Hotel is no more, in its place stands a well-crafted and Insta-friendly venue. With a great view of the city from its rooftop bar, the National Hotel takes after-work drinks up a notch with its classy decor.

The Inn
Another venue in Geelong with a recent renovation, the Inn (previously Bush Inn) is the home for late night antics, espresso martinis and public holiday events. On balmy summer evenings you can find the beer garden full of people enjoying a drink or two. The space features greenery up the walls, plenty of large tables and space to dance.
