Emma Hawkins shares her favourite things about Geelong
Known for curating some of the finest homeware, beauty and fashion items on her website Who Loves That, we thought we'd chat with local star Emma Hawkins on some of her favourite spots, sights and things to do in Geelong along with her partner Tom Hawkins.
Favourite cafe: This is a tricky one as I love so many cafés in Geelong. However, if I had to pick one, it would be Winters because of the coconut chicken salad.
Favourite spot for after work drinks: Geelong Cellar Door.
If you took a stranger on a tour of Geelong, where would you have to visit?
Walk around the river or along the waterfront followed by a visit to The Geelong Gallery, lunch in Barwon Heads or Clyde Park. Hopefully they were visiting us when the footy was on so I could take them to a night game at Kardinia Park. Prior to the game I would take them for an early meal at Sawyers Arms - one of the best pub meals you will get in Geelong.
Favourite date night spot: Recess.
Favourite live music venue: Mt Duneed Estate.
Best kept secret in Geelong: Not really a secret, but the Mill Markets are amazing.
Favourite place to shop: Mayfield, Tinky, Argentina, Jaggers Closet and sassica and salter.
Favourite activity in Geelong: We love taking Belle to Ravens Creek for breakfast and then usually we will head across to Barwon Heads for the weekend if we have time off and spend time with family.
